Abstract
The effects of insulin, epidermal growth factor(EGF), hydrocortisone, calcium and fetal bovine serum on growth rates were measured in established Adenovirus type 12-SV40 hybrid virus-transformed human foreskin cell line.
In the presence of culture medium containing 10% fetal bovine serum, 1.o§·/§¢ insulin, 1.0ng/§¢ epidermal growth factor and 1.0ug/§¢ hydrocortisone medium increased growth rated Adenovirus type 12-SV40 hybrid virus-transformed human foreskin cells in vitro.
But 0.02mM calcium medium had little effect or not on the cell proliferation of Adenovirus type 12-SV40 hybrid virus-transformed human foreskin cells in vitro. The data suggest that compounds, insulin, epidermal growth fector, hydrocortisone and serum stimulates cell growth in additive manner, and calcium had little effect on call growth of established Adenovrus type 12-SV40 hybrid virus-transformed human foreskin cell line.
